Five comics, five stories that keep going

Single-issue comics are serialized. Each one is a chapter, and most end with the story still open. This pack gives you the current chapter of five different series, so you can try five stories without committing to any of them. The goal is to find the one or two you can't put down.

Want the rest of the story? Subscribe to the series.

When a comic from the pack hooks you, the best way to keep reading is to subscribe to that series. A series subscription, called a pull list in comic shops, reserves every new issue of the series you choose and sets it aside for you as it is released. We run pull list subscriptions for our readers, so a series you discover in this pack is one you can keep following with us, issue by issue.

Why this isn't a dollar-bin grab bag

Every 5-Pack is pulled individually when you order, from the same current-release stock sold one issue at a time. That is why every pack can promise no duplicates and a first printing on every book.

Who's picking your comics

Each pack is pulled by a comic shop owner who has been shipping comics to readers for more than a decade. Every pick is a current release chosen because it is worth reading right now.

How do I get the next issue of a series I liked?

Subscribe to the series. New issues of most ongoing comics come out about once a month, and a pull list subscription reserves each one for you as it is released, so you never have to track release dates or hunt for a missing issue. We offer pull list subscriptions for the series that go into these packs.

Is the 5-Pack itself a subscription?

No. The 5-Pack is a one-time purchase with nothing to cancel. A series subscription is separate: it is for following one specific series, issue by issue, once you know what you like.

Will I get duplicate comics?

Not within a pack. All five issues come from different series. If you order more than one pack, add a note listing what you already received and the next pack will be pulled around it.

Are these new comics or back issues?

New releases. Every book is a current first printing from distributor stock, not backstock.

Can I request Marvel-only, DC-only, or kid-friendly comics?

Yes. Add a note to your order and the pack will be pulled around it.

How does the pack ship?

Packs ship from St. Louis, MO via USPS Media Mail, which typically arrives in 2–8 business days within the US.

Is this a good gift for a comic book fan?

Yes. It works as a gift for a comic reader, a starter pack for someone new to comics, or a way to sample new series before committing to one.
