Written and illustrated by Alex Ross, the book walks through lavishly painted retellings of the origins of Marvel's greatest heroes, from Spider-Man and the Hulk to Iron Man and Thor, before an unexpected narrator reveals a darker agenda that reframes everything that came before. An integral 32-page bonus comic rounds out the 112-page volume. It is the second book in Abrams' Marvel Arts line, following the acclaimed Fantastic Four: Full Circle.

This oversized 8.5 x 11 sewn-binding hardcover ships in the Lunar Exclusive acetate-window slipcase with the exclusive sketch-cover print, plus a signed and numbered certificate of authenticity.
