Four years ago today, Marvel launched Spider-Man (2022) #1 from writer Dan Slott and artist Mark Bagley. It kicked off "End of the Spider-Verse," a story that brings together spider-totem variants from across the multiverse alongside Morlun to take on Shathra, the Spider-Wasp goddess.

It was a homecoming of sorts. Slott wrote Amazing Spider-Man for a decade, and Bagley is one of the defining Spidey artists of the 1990s and 2000s. Same week, Marvel's slate also featured Edge of Spider-Verse #5 and the debut of Murderworld #1.

Panel of the Day: Before Saitama had a hit anime, he was a free webcomic. ONE's original One-Punch Man was later remade as a manga by Yusuke Murata, and that remake fed the October 2015 TV Tokyo series.
